# SEP 3 Exchange Datenbank Importieren

SEP 3 ist die Deutsch-Norm der Landesbehörden für den Austausch geologischer Bohrlochdaten. Sie gilt, wenn ein Landesamt Bohrlochdaten als einfache SEP-3-Access-Datenbank bereitstellt – eine Datei, die nur die SEP-3-Datentabellen enthält, ohne die GeoDin-System-Wrapper-Tabellen, die eine normale Projekt-Datenbank benötigt.

GeoDin kann eine solche Datei nicht direkt als Projekt-Datenbank öffnen. Eine spezielle **Austauschdatenbank** (Deutsch: *Austauschdatenbank*) bildet die Brücke zwischen beiden: Sie liest die SEP-3-Tabellenstruktur aus der Datei der Behörde und stellt die Objekte bereit, damit sie in Ihre Haupt-GeoDin-Datenbank kopiert werden können.

SEP 3 ist – wie SEP 1, sein älterer Vorgänger – spezifisch für den Deutsch-Markt: Die Objektarten, Tabellenstrukturen und das Lieferpapierformat werden von deutschen Landesbehörden definiert und außerhalb dieses Marktes Nicht verwendet.
